Sky's usual tricks

Sky's usual tricks! We are with sky broadband, wasn't really getting any decent Internet connection wired or wifi. Sky offered a boost connection for free. Made absolutely no difference. Asked to cancel that bit and forget the idea to be told we can't and now it's a £5 monthly fee!! Emailed a complaint but basically told nothing they can do, instead it's gone up to £7.50 a month. Basically we have paid for a booster service for about a year now that does not provide any workable service or benefit, can't cancel as it was free but somehow became chargeable monthly and contracted in alongside the monthly internet payments, all of which have gone up 4 times in the space of 16 months with no warning and now they wanna charge £100 to get out of the last 2 months of the contract. The rumours about this company are true. They would absolutely rip off your dying gran and still sleep well at night!! Won't be using ever again.

Full of promises but underdelivering!

Was with Sky for about 5-6 years and they used to be good but in the last 18 months honestly so bad.
My contract has gone up from £39 to £75 within the same term for the same products, the quality of their internet in my area is sooo bad, I couldn't work from home on it...
I now signed up to a small local business providing full fiber and changing to a streaming box to watch live TV or apps (one off purchase)
Sky is getting cancelled, never again!!!

Renewal Price Hike

After being with sky for over 20+ years and every 18 months phoning for a better deal than the renewal price. This year they simply failed to deliver a reasonable outcome for the exactly same services Broadband/Phone and TV, some discount but still going up to an unreasonable cost per month. I have now cancelled the services, my contract runs of 5/6/24 but they tell me that I can't leave on that date as they need 31 days notice on tv and 14 days notice on broadband. Be warned they will take the money at the higher cost within the out of contract price. I am highly disappointed with the customer service team, they just want you to leave but warn you if you switch the discounted price from others will go up.

Sky Has Utter Contempt for Customers.

I had to call Sky today about an issue. After an hour and a half and ten different numbers and two email addresses which are not in use, I gave up. I have never known a company so awful at making it so difficult for customers to contact them. Once my contract is up it will be time to look for a new provider who does not treat customers this way.

0 would be more accurate but 1 star is…

0 would be more accurate but 1 star is the least on here so it will have to do. Just for the sake of my mental health and stability, let's just say they have completely screwed me over for the last 5 weeks and cut off my service even when it's been paid. Broken promises, complaints closed with out resolution and lies upon lies upon lies. AVOID AVOID AVOID. I have been a loyal sky customer for 11 years and their treatment of me is disgraceful. AVOID AVOID!

DISGRACEFUL SERVICE

Had no phone service for 6 weeks ,trying to contact SKY is impossible .Spending hours waiting in a queue and still not getting through and if you do not being able to understand what is being said .

When it was based in Scotland it was great but now just another overseas mess .
Maybe time to look elsewhere .

Sky is just the worse company ever ….
I only wish minus stars were allowed .
Made a enquiry end of March for broadband spending couple of hours on phone .
Then engineer says there’s a problem with installing.
Couple of months go by then hear nothing .
Then told July will be able to install .
Another hour + on the phone speaking to various people in Bulgaria 🇧🇬 with people who can’t speak English….and other places before speaking to the right person to cancel .
Totally disgrace .

Bereaved family so upset by crass error

I had to cancel my brother's SkyTV service after he died recently. I was surprised at how efficiently the bereavement team handled my call. They asked me to return the box in an envelope that they would send to me. Guess what? They addressed the envelope to my late brother and sent it to his address. Such crass mistakes simply add to a bereaved family's grief.

Sky cancelled my order without me…

Sky cancelled my order without me receiving anything or having an engineer round. No reason given at all. When I rang I was cut off after 10 minutes. Having seen the most recent reviews it appears that they are all true, given this ridiculous experience.

If I could give 0 that would be fairer

If I could give 0 that would be fairer. Their customer service is digusting. Palmed off to off shore call centres that are quite honestly useless (awful product knowledge, they lie, cut you off and basically steal from you by uplifting package prices and not telling you there's better deals available with them). I've been a customer (platinum) for 15 years ad quite frankly I am doing everything I can to cancel all their products. There customer service in england is better, but its easier to get a GP appointment than speak to them. sick to death of it and will now scream that point on as many platforms as I can. Sky, shame on you......

If the internet doesn't drop for 2 days it's a lucky week

We had Sky fibre installed 6 weeks ago and almost every single day the connection completely drops for some time. We had some weekends when there was no internet from 2pm until after 10pm. Every time (4 times so far and counting) we call Sky about it it's the same charade: they send an engineer to the flat, the engineer says the problem is outside the building, but that particular engineer doesn't have it within his job description to look outside the building, so nothing gets done. Problem "solved".

Broadband con

Took out a new broadband deal with sky at what seemed a very good deal at the time at a good price and with a £50 voucher. The price increased by a massive 15% in April which wiped out most of the discount they had given me and the voucher never arrived. Having sent emails and contacting them on the phone and also gift cloud over the last few weeks they are now saying they can't help me with either the voucher as they can't find anything relating to it even though I was assured I would get it 120 days after contract started and the price increase is just what it is. Feeling absolutely conned and wish I had never taken out a contract with them.
Have had various sky products on and off for many years and they used to be helpful and honest but will never use them for anything again once this finishes.
Total con artists

5 days no internet

Sky engineer did come to fit my new fibre optic broadband, said my internet will be working after 5 mins, but 5 DAYS later I still have no internet!!! I have spent hours on phone calls troubleshooting. Sky has sent me a new router that also doesn't work and promises call backs that never happen. I can't stand dishonesty. I'm left frustrated and deeply disappointed. Switching over to an honest and reliable broadband provider as soon as possible!

Getting rid of SKY is like shaking off a virus!

I have been with SKY for several years. I decided to switch to a different provider in order to save money, but since then SKY seem to have repeatedly tried to stop my transfer to the new service. I wrote to SKY and followed up with a phone call to the SKY cancellation department. This took up almost an hour of my time. I was told that cancellation has to be done in person over the phone but I have received no written confirmation whatsoever of the cancellation. Instead I’ve had one marketing call trying to sell me their products and 2 text messages with links trying to get me to sign up again. Today I contacted the new provider and was told that the service was being blocked, presumably by SKY. I wouldn’t touch SKY with a barge pole after all this!

Appalling service

Appalling service - well it’s not even that. I transferred to sky for talk and broadband on 14th May. I have yet to have any sort of connection - I can’t get in touch with them on the phone as their lines appear to be down. I have been with another provider for 2 years without a single problem and suddenly “there is an outage in the area”. Coincides with me swapping to sky - I made a huge mistake transferring to this company and now I’ve got the very long task of cancelling my contract and going back to my old provider. I was warned about sky for talk and broadband but chose to ignore it. Heed this warning - whatever you do don’t move to this company.

Tablet stolen I received an empty box

Stolen goods! I am not happy at all and I would give the service a zero if it were an option. Unfortunately somewhere in the supply chain a thief is in operation. I ordered a Samsung Galaxy A9 tablet from Sky online to be delivered by DPD (goods were despatched from their Emersons Green Depot in Bristol). I paid extra for a speedier delivery. I arrived home in time to see the DPD driver at my door, so I took receipt of the parcel from him by hand so it had not been tampered with outside of the property. The outside DPD box was intact, however the Galaxy box was empty, the security seal was broken, there was a slight gape in the box and the box only contained the charging cable, the tablet was missing. I have been sent an empty box!! Absolutely disgusted with this and I will never order online again. Be warned that someone somewhere is stealing the devices and sending out empty boxes!!!

Waiting two months - still no wifi

I signed up to an internet contract at the end of March, it's now 14th May and they still have not connected me to the internet. They keep blaming openreach but don't seem to be able to contact them at all. My engineer date is still booked in for 9th April and hasn't been updated since that date passed....
